What is Pricey?
Pricey is a shopping support service operated by Wilico. It compares product prices, records price movement, and helps shoppers judge when to buy. Cloudflare classifies the service as an aggregator and agent rather than a search crawler.
The Pricey product site describes two related workflows. A shopper can share a product from a browser or shopping app to run a comparison across more than 50 supported sites. A saved item can also remain on a watchlist so Pricey can track price drops and restocks over time.
Those workflows mean a merchant may see Pricey when a product is first compared or during later monitoring. The request is about commerce data on that product page, not a general attempt to index the merchant's whole site. A block can make a comparison stale or stop an alert from reflecting a new price.
Pricey does not determine whether a page appears in an AI answer or a conventional search result. The available operator and directory records describe product comparison and monitoring, not collection for model training. No training use is documented for this agent.
There is no stable Pricey user-agent token in the record. Cloudflare's bot directory lists no user-agent pattern and no example user-agent string, so a rule based on the display name would be guesswork. This also means that a Pricey substring in a request header is not enough to establish identity.
Cloudflare does provide a Web Bot Auth key directory for Pricey at https://web-bot-auth-keys.wilico-ppc-bot.workers.dev/.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory. A valid HTTP message signature checked against those public keys gives stronger evidence than a user-agent match. Merchants can use that proof at the edge before deciding whether to allow product-page requests.
