What is Selectika AI?
Selectika AI is the crawler identity associated with Selectika, a fashion and lifestyle product-data platform. Cloudflare's verified-bot record points to Selectika's website and identifies the crawler as SelectikaScraper.
Selectika describes a computer-vision workflow that extracts product descriptions and assigns more than 20 data points to each item. The company says the enriched catalog data can be sent to product information systems, site search, Google Merchant Center, and shopping surfaces in services such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
The public crawler record is much narrower than that product description. It does not say what starts a crawl, which page or asset types SelectikaScraper requests, how often it returns, or whether it only visits sites connected to a Selectika customer. Access logs are the reliable source for those details on a particular site.
Selectika's published material connects its data enrichment to product discovery, including LLM shopping surfaces. It does not say that SelectikaScraper collects general web text to train a foundation model. A visit therefore should not be described as proof that a page entered AI training data or will appear in an unrelated AI answer.
Control is less certain than identity. This directory leaves robots.txt behavior unconfirmed, while Cloudflare's bot directory marks the bot as not following robots.txt. A rule for SelectikaScraper records the publisher's preference, but sites that require a firm block should also enforce it at the server, CDN, or firewall.
Cloudflare's bot directory records the full user agent as SelectikaScraper/1.0. It does not publish an HTTP signature directory for the bot, and this page does not mark Selectika traffic as IP verified. Since any client can copy a user agent, the token alone is not enough to justify bypassing security controls.
