What is ServerHunterSpider?
Hosting providers see ServerHunterSpider because Server Hunter imports plan information for its comparison site. The crawler gathers prices, product specifications, and stock, then returns to keep provider listings current.
This is a hosting-plan comparison crawler. Server Hunter does not document any use for language-model training or generative search. Allowing it can keep a provider's comparison listing accurate, but has no stated effect on AI visibility.
Server Hunter says a site is usually visited about once every 24 hours, although the interval can vary with how often that site changes. The spider pauses for one second between HTTP requests by default. Providers can change that delay through a robots directive.
The HTTP user agent contains ServerHunterSpider/1.1 and links to the operator's spider page; the version number may change. Server Hunter also publishes its crawler addresses and reverse-DNS pattern. Its robots examples use the shorter product token ServerHunter, and the crawler caches the file for one hour.
