What is Trendiction Bot?
Trendiction Bot gathers material from public news sites, blogs, message boards, and comment sections. Trendiction says the collected pages enter its public search engine and are also processed for delivery through web service APIs. Market-research firms and other applications can use those services instead of running their own crawlers.
For a publisher, the practical result is inclusion in Trendiction's search and data products. An article or public comment may become available to clients that monitor online coverage. Trendiction does not say this crawl supplies generative AI models or an AI answer engine, so it should not be treated as AI training traffic.
The crawler identifies itself with trendictionbot0.5.0 inside a longer browser-style string. It supports gzip and caches fetched material. Conditional requests using If-Modified-Since and ETag let the server avoid returning a full page when nothing has changed.
Request frequency is not fixed. Trendiction says it adjusts the interval according to the site's ranking, the hits it finds, and its internal cache. The operator also publishes a bot-specific robots rule, although it may keep using the prior file for up to five days.
