LinkedIn page types across all AI models
Combined LinkedIn citations across every AI model in August 2026. Percentages are calculated against all LinkedIn citations from Aug 1 - Aug 31, 2026, including categories not shown in this chart.
What this means for you
Written content still makes up most LinkedIn citations: Pulse articles account for 30.41% and posts for 27.75%, about 58% combined. That is down from roughly 70% in the May 18 to June 17 window, when Pulse articles alone were 37.67%.
Company pages were the clear winner, rising from 13.35% to 18.05% of all LinkedIn citations. They gained on every engine we track, most of all on ChatGPT and Perplexity.
How to act on it
- Keep publishing Pulse articles and posts. Their combined share fell, but at 58% they are still the majority of what AI engines cite from LinkedIn.
- Give your company page more attention than before. At 18.05% it gained almost five points since June, and it is the page AI engines use to check who you are and what you do.
- Skip showcase pages (0.4%), product pages (0.44%), and LinkedIn Learning (0.37%) for GEO. They barely register, so put the effort into content that does.

What this means for you
ChatGPT still uses LinkedIn mainly to look up companies. Company pages rose from 23.84% to 33.68% of its LinkedIn citations, and together with job listings (6.51%) and help articles (5.97%) that makes up close to half of what it cites from the platform.
The rest of its mix changed a lot since the May 18 to June 17 window. Posts more than doubled, from 12.09% to 26.45%, while Pulse articles dropped from 8.77% to 3.65%.
How to act on it
- Treat your company page as your main LinkedIn asset for ChatGPT. It now gets a third of ChatGPT's LinkedIn citations (33.68%), so keep the about section, offerings, size, and locations complete and current.
- Post regularly from both the company page and your leaders' profiles. Feed posts more than doubled to 26.45% and are now the second-largest format ChatGPT cites.
- Don't publish Pulse articles for ChatGPT visibility. They fell to 3.65% here. Aim them at Google's engines and Perplexity instead.
