What is EasyScan?
EasyScan is an automated website review service operated by codire GmbH. Its published service page describes a scanner for finding privacy-relevant services on websites and online shops. It is used on behalf of customers who want to check whether their online content and privacy documentation match the services their site actually loads.
During a scan, EasyScan looks for services with data-protection implications and assesses their legal use. The service can use the findings to check and preconfigure a privacy policy. Its operator says the scanner currently recognizes more than 350 services and can repeat scans to keep the policy aligned as a site changes.
Robots.txt behavior is not confirmed for EasyScan, and Cloudflare's directory lists it as not following robots.txt. A bot-specific rule is still useful for declaring a crawl preference. For an enforceable block, verify the signature and deny the request at the edge; for an expected scan, use the same identity check before granting any special allowance.
Cloudflare's bot directory records the agent as EasyScan/1.0, with EasyScan as its stable token. The bot supports Web Bot Auth and publishes signature keys at https://admin.itrk-easysafe.de/.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory. Those keys provide a way to distinguish codire's signed agent from a request that merely copies the same user-agent value.
This is a customer-directed inspection, not an open-ended index of the web. A site may see several page requests because relevant scripts, embeds, or services can appear on different URLs. Repeated visits may also come from the scheduled rescans described by the operator rather than from search discovery.
EasyScan does not improve or reduce visibility in public AI answers. It is also not documented as a collector for model training. The consequence of allowing or blocking it is practical: a requested privacy review may have complete page access, partial results, or fail to inspect the site.
