What is Fedicabot?
Fedicabot fetches content for people using Fedica's social publishing tools. Fedica says the bot does not crawl whole websites. For a web page, it reads the specific URL supplied by a user so Fedica can render an Open Graph card for a social post.
The bot also retrieves RSS feeds that a website owner has configured. That feed workflow lets a Fedica user find and publish items from the feed, while the page workflow is limited to the link being prepared for sharing. The recorded HTTP identities are Fedicabot and FedicaApp.
A visit is therefore associated with a publishing action or a feed chosen by a user, not an attempt to map every reachable page. If the fetched title, image, or description is wrong, inspect the Open Graph fields returned at that exact URL and check whether the media files are publicly accessible.
Fedicabot is not an AI search or training crawler. It can affect how a link appears in a social post created through Fedica, but the available sources do not connect the fetch to AI citations, answer grounding, or a model-training corpus.
