What is Manus Bot?
Manus Bot is associated with the Manus agent, which carries out tasks and automated workflows instead of only returning a text answer. A visit can be one step in a broader job that the user assigned to Manus. It should not be interpreted as a conventional indexing crawl without other evidence.
Manus's Cloud Browser documentation says its cloud environment can visit sites, click controls, fill forms, extract data, and move through multi-page workflows. Users can sign in to services inside that environment, and they can take over when a CAPTCHA, code, or other human verification is required. One task may therefore produce both page reads and state-changing requests.
Cloud Browser runs from data center addresses. Manus also offers a separate Browser Operator that works through a user's local browser, existing session, and local IP after one-time authorization. Traffic from that local mode can look like the user's ordinary browser and should not automatically be attributed to the Manus Bot identity described here.
For a website operator, the effect depends on the assigned task. Blocking Manus Bot may prevent research, data extraction, form submission, or another workflow from finishing. The available records do not identify this bot as an AI search indexer or a model training crawler, so a visit does not by itself affect search inclusion or document a training use.
Cloudflare's bot directory lists no user-agent pattern for Manus Bot. It instead associates the bot with a Web Bot Auth key directory at https://api.manus.im/.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory. Cloudflare's operator URL is https://manus.im/help/Manus-user; current Manus product documentation provides the browser workflow details.
A valid HTTP Message Signature can prove that a covered request came from the Manus signing identity. It does not prove that the end user may access a particular account or perform a particular action. Applications should keep their own session, authorization, CSRF, rate, and transaction checks in place.
Robots behavior is unknown in this bot, and Cloudflare sets followsRobotsTxt to false. Without a stable token, there is no accurate Manus Bot robots.txt group to publish. Sites that need to identify or block this traffic should use verified signatures and application behavior, while remembering that Browser Operator traffic may arrive through a local user session instead.
