What is Arena Bot?
Arena Bot runs when a URL needs a preview inside Arena.im's live engagement products. The recorded workflows are live chat, live blogs, and community tools. Arena chat owners can choose whether participants may submit URLs, so a request often traces back to a link posted during an active conversation or event.
The bot fetches the submitted page to create the preview shown in Arena. That makes the traffic event driven: one requested URL does not imply that Arena Bot is exploring the rest of the domain. If the page or its preview media is inaccessible, participants can still exchange the URL, but Arena may have less information to display beside it.
The stable token is ArenaBot, and Cloudflare's bot directory records the full string as ArenaBot/1.0 (+<https://arena.im/bot/;> [email protected]). This entry is not IP verified and has no signature-agent URL, so the header remains copyable. Robots compliance is not claimed in the bot metadata, while Cloudflare explicitly marks it false.
Arena Bot is not documented as an AI search or training crawler. Its fetches support previews within Arena's own chat, live-blog, and community sessions. They do not indicate that the page was indexed for general AI answers or added to a model-training dataset.
