What is Botify?
Botify SiteCrawler is part of the Botify Analytics suite. Enterprise SEO teams use it to evaluate a website's structure and content from a search crawler's point of view. The resulting requests belong to an analysis of the customer's site, not to Botify operating a consumer search engine.
This catalog does not confirm robots.txt support, while Cloudflare labels the crawler as not following robots.txt. That uncertainty affects how a site should enforce limits, but it does not change the crawler's stated job inside Botify Analytics.
Cloudflare's bot directory records the desktop identity as Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; botify; http://botify.com). The stable token is the lowercase word botify. Server logs show the pages it could reach and the responses received during the structural and content evaluation. No signed-agent directory or verified IP check is listed.
Botify's documented purpose here is technical SEO analysis. There is no claim that SiteCrawler contributes pages to model training or retrieves sources for AI answers. Better crawlability found through a Botify audit may help a site's ordinary search work, but allowing this bot has no documented direct effect on AI citations.
