What is FlyingPress?
FlyingPress is a WordPress speed optimization service from FlyingWeb LLC. Its page optimizer fetches a site so it can generate critical CSS, identify images above the fold, and determine which third-party scripts can be delayed. A request is therefore part of preparing an optimized version of a FlyingPress customer's page.
The bot record does not provide a stable user-agent token. FlyingPress instead publishes a Web Bot Auth key directory at https://page-optimizer.flyingpress.com/.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory. A valid HTTP message signature gives an edge service a stronger identity check than a name copied into the user-agent header.
Robots behavior is not confirmed in the local metadata, and Cloudflare's bot directory marks this identity as not following robots.txt. With no stable token, a FlyingPress-specific robots group would also be unreliable. Sites that use FlyingPress should control access through their service setup and signature-aware edge rules rather than guessing at a crawler name.
FlyingPress is not documented as an AI search crawler or a model-training collector. Its work can change how quickly a customer's pages load, but a visit does not put the page into an AI index or make it eligible for citation in an AI answer.
