What is LinkCheckerBot?
LinkCheckerBot is the crawler used by LinkChecker.Pro to monitor backlinks for its users. It visits a page where a customer expects a link so the service can check that backlink over time. The visit concerns the monitored page, even when the owner of that page is not the LinkChecker.Pro customer.
The crawler identifies itself as LinkCheckerBot/2.0 in a user agent that links to LinkChecker.Pro's robot page. That page describes it as a backlink checker rather than a general site-audit crawler. A user-agent match is useful for traffic classification but does not authenticate the sender.
LinkChecker.Pro says the crawler strictly follows robots.txt and also honors Crawl-delay. The bot record and Cloudflare agree that robots rules are respected. A webmaster can therefore set access and request frequency without blocking unrelated SEO tools.
Nothing in the operator's documentation connects LinkCheckerBot to AI search or model training. Allowing it helps a LinkChecker.Pro user verify a backlink; it does not submit the page to an AI assistant or a training dataset.
