What is Ozon Web Grabber?
Ozon Web Grabber loads previews for both external URLs and links to internal objects. For an external page, the matching Cloudflare record says the service uses Open Graph information when available, including the title, description, images, or video. Internal objects use a specialized block from the platform's own representation instead.
The distinction explains why an origin site normally sees requests only for external destinations. An internal preview can be assembled without fetching an outside web server. A request from this bot indicates that the external URL is being prepared for a preview, not that a person clicked through to the page.
Despite the display name Ozon Web Grabber, the stable token is OdklBot. Cloudflare's bot directory records the full header as Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; OdklBot/1.0 like Linux; [email protected]). The entry has no verified IP or signature, so the unusual token is still only a claim in the request header.
There is no documented AI search, citation, or model-training use. Allowing the fetch can affect the external-link preview generated by this component. Cloudflare says the bot does not follow robots.txt, while the bot metadata leaves compliance unknown.
