What is SEO Audit Check Bot?
WebCEO identifies seo-audit-check-bot/1.0 as a user agent for its Site Crawler tools on white-label domains. The alternate branding explains why a WebCEO audit can appear in logs under the generic SEO Audit Check Bot name. A customer or an agency using a branded WebCEO service initiates the underlying work.
WebCEO's Site Crawler supports its SEO Analysis and Technical Audit and Internal Links tools. Requests collect site data for the customer's private reports rather than a public search index. The operator publishes a separate online-webceo-bot identity for the same class of tools, so blocking this one token does not cover every WebCEO crawl.
WebCEO also documents browser-like agents for homepage snapshots, favicons, Flash checks, and AMP checks. Those requests may not contain seo-audit-check-bot, which limits what can be inferred from a token-only log filter. The official page publishes a current address list, but this directory entry does not mark IP verification as available.
The crawler has no documented role in AI answer retrieval or model training. Robots.txt compliance is also unconfirmed in this bot; WebCEO says it scans what site owners allow, but its bot page does not make a specific robots protocol commitment for this user agent.
