What is Telegram Bot?
A Telegram Bot request is normally connected to a URL sent in a Telegram message. Telegram fetches the page to produce the text and media shown in a link preview. It is responding to a share event rather than walking the site to maintain a general search index.
Cloudflare has observed the full user agent TelegramBot (like TwitterBot), while this bot uses the stable token TelegramBot. A page and its preview image must be publicly reachable for the card to work. A successful fetch still does not guarantee that every Telegram client or conversation will display a preview.
Robots behavior is not established in the bot metadata, and the matching Cloudflare record marks the crawler as not following robots.txt. Telegram does not publish an authenticated IP list or request-signature directory in this bot. The token can identify expected preview traffic in logs, but it cannot prove that Telegram sent a particular request.
Telegram Bot has no supported AI search or training role. Blocking it affects Telegram link previews, not a documented AI collection process. Allowing it likewise does not raise a page's eligibility for an AI-generated answer.
